Sir W. Churchill on Time, Truth, & Healing (This title is horrible. It sounds like an intro to a TV talk show)

Sir W. Churchill in October ’29

“Time and Truth are healers.”

And so Sir W. Churchill begins the fifth volume of “The Second World War”. I have pondered this statement as something about it rang true but I concluded that it is not entirely accurate. I believe that Truth is a healer but Time is not a necessary sidekick, at least considering Time as defined by Merriam-Websters. Potentially Sir W. Churchill had a different definition but unfortunately due to a slight mix-up in diaries I was born 17 years after his death and we were unable to discuss his statement premortem. Even given my generally bright disposition as a child, he probably needed to live another 22 years before we could work through our current dilemma. I believe Truth and Blood are healers (I also believe that they are dividers). I am certain he would have come about to my viewpoint if only we had a few moments to hash it out. Alas, it was not to be.
