How to be an iPhoneographer: Wide Angle iPhoneography

Folks are often frustrated with the 6 x 6 limitations of many of the popular iPhoneography apps when capturing a landscape shot. I seem to run into this problem at the beach ( I know some of you folks are saying the panorama functionality in the new iOS solves that. It doesn’t. It is not wide angle, it’s a panorama). Here is the solution.

1. Purchase 645 Pro

2. Purchase an Olloclip lens

I have written about 645 Pro numerous times. It gives you more control than any other camera app. The Olloclip is a 3 in 1 lens system which provides a fisheye, wide angle, & macro lens.

  1. Awesome suggestion! I’ve read your posts about 645 Pro, but just haven’t taken the leap. But since I will be visiting the Virgin Islands in November and already have an olloclip, I really need to jump on board. Thanks!

    1. Hopefully it works for you. I typically shoot 6X6 images but occasionally you need wide angle and I have been pretty impressed by the quality you can get from the iPhone. Have a good one.
